# Ray for marketing teams

> Performance sits in Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console. Written for marketing teams, with the tools they use and the questions they ask first.

## The week this fixes

- Somebody asks how the campaign is doing and answering it means four tabs and a spreadsheet.
- The insight from Tuesday's numbers becomes a task on nobody's list and resurfaces at the retro.
- A lead comes in through a channel, gets a thumbs up, and never reaches the CRM.
- The Monday update is written from memory by whoever has the least on.

## What that looks like in a channel

**"How did the Q3 campaign actually do?"**

Ray reads the live numbers across the ad accounts and analytics you have connected and answers in the thread, instead of telling you which dashboard to open.

Tools: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console

**"The pricing page is converting badly, someone should rewrite the hero."**

Ray writes it up as a properly formed task with the thread attached and the numbers that prompted it, and shows you the card before it files.

Tools: Asana, Linear, Notion

**"That enterprise lead from the webinar needs to be in the CRM before Friday."**

Ray creates the record with what the thread already said about them, and the approval card shows you exactly what it will write first.

Tools: HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio

**"Post a Monday performance digest in this channel."**

Ray posts it every Monday with what moved, what dropped and what is still running, pulled from the accounts rather than from a person.

Tools: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Dub

**"Turn this thread into the campaign brief."**

Ray drafts it into the doc with the decisions and the owners the conversation already settled, and nothing is written until someone approves it.

Tools: Notion, Google Sheets

## The tools this touches

Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Notion, Asana, Google Sheets, Dub, PostHog

Every one has its own page saying what Ray reads there and what waits for an approval. The full set is at https://heyray.io/integrations.md

## What it costs

Free covers 25 tasks a month plus a one-time 50-task starter grant that never expires. Pro is one flat price for your team's size: $49 a month for 1 to 3 people, $99 a month for 4 to 10 people, $199 a month for 11 to 25 people. No seats, and using Ray more never costs more. Failed work is never counted and never billed.

## What marketing teams ask first

**Will Ray post to our social accounts or send the newsletter?**

No, and that is a deliberate line rather than a missing feature. Ray reads the social and email platforms it connects to, so it can tell you how something performed, and it does not publish or send on them. The things Ray writes are tasks, documents and CRM records, each behind an approval card.

**Can it change our ad campaigns?**

Only within what each account's own page says it can do, and every one of those is an approval away. If you want an agent with a free hand on live spend, Ray is not it, on purpose.

**Do we need everyone on the team to have a licence?**

No. Ray is one flat price for the whole team by size, so the marketing team, the person in sales who lurks in the channel and the founder who reads it all cost the same as the channel itself.

**Where does it get its numbers?**

From the accounts you connect, live, at the moment somebody asks. It does not keep a copy of your analytics and it does not estimate. If an account is not connected, Ray says so rather than guessing.

**What happens to the data it reads?**

It stays in your workspace's own isolated memory and is never shared with ad platforms. The security page has the detail.
