# Ray and Asana

> Capture work as tasks in the project it belongs to.

Ray is an AI teammate that works in your team chat, on Slack today. Connect Asana and it can do the Asana part of a request without anyone leaving the conversation: read what it needs, draft the change, and post it for approval before anything is written. 11 reads run without asking. 3 actions wait for a human approval.

## What Ray reads in Asana

Reading changes nothing, so Ray never stops to ask whether it may look something up.

- Tasks, projects, and workspace members

## What waits for your approval

Every one of these posts an approval card in the thread showing exactly what is about to happen. Nothing runs until someone clicks approve, and no setting turns that off.

- Create a task in the right project
- Update a task, including assignee and due date
- Comment on a task

## Things Ray is never handed

These are left out during curation, so they are not something Ray could do and decides against. They are not in front of it at all.

- Delete a task or a project

## Ask it like this

- "@Ray add that to the launch project, due Friday."
- "@Ray what is due this week on the launch project?"
- "@Ray move that task to Priya and push the date to Monday."
- "@Ray comment on the task with what we agreed here."

## Connecting Asana

Every person on the team connects their own Asana account on Asana's own login screen, so Ray can only reach what that person can already reach, and the history in Asana shows who actually asked. Passwords never pass through Ray. Disconnecting Asana or uninstalling Ray revokes the connection.
