# Ray and OneDrive

> Find the file across the drives, and put one where it belongs.

Ray is an AI teammate that works in your team chat, on Slack today. Connect OneDrive and it can do the OneDrive part of a request without anyone leaving the conversation: read what it needs, draft the change, and post it for approval before anything is written. 10 reads run without asking. 5 actions wait for a human approval.

## What Ray reads in OneDrive

Reading changes nothing, so Ray never stops to ask whether it may look something up.

- Items and folders across your drives
- Item versions and document comments

## What waits for your approval

Every one of these posts an approval card in the thread showing exactly what is about to happen. Nothing runs until someone clicks approve, and no setting turns that off.

- Create a file or a folder
- Copy, move, or rename an item

## Things Ray is never handed

These are left out during curation, so they are not something Ray could do and decides against. They are not in front of it at all.

- Delete an item, permanently or otherwise
- Change who can see an item, or invite someone to it
- Change a workbook's ranges or worksheets

## Ask it like this

- "@Ray where is the latest version of the budget sheet?"

## Connecting OneDrive

Every person on the team connects their own OneDrive account on OneDrive's own login screen, so Ray can only reach what that person can already reach, and the history in OneDrive shows who actually asked. Passwords never pass through Ray. Disconnecting OneDrive or uninstalling Ray revokes the connection.
