# Pricing

> Flat pricing by team size, the free tier, and what counts as a task.

Source: https://heyray.io/pricing

Ray is one flat price by team size. It does not move with how much you use it,
there are no credits to buy, and there are no per seat charges.

## Free

$0. 25 tasks a month, plus a one time 50 task
starter grant that never expires. One scheduled digest. Every integration
included. No credit card, and no time limit.

## Pro

- **Pro, 1 to 3 people.** $49 a month, 500 tasks a month.
- **Pro, 4 to 10 people.** $99 a month, 1,200 tasks a month.
- **Pro, 11 to 25 people.** $199 a month, 2,400 tasks a month.

Every band is the same product. The only thing that changes with size is
headroom. Every band gets unlimited scheduled digests, every integration, and
the same model, because Ray never silently downgrades a cheaper plan to a
weaker model.

## Business

Teams of 26 people and up. Talk to us at support@heyray.io.

## How team size is counted

By engaged humans, which means the distinct people whose requests Ray actually
delivered in that calendar month. A colleague who never asks Ray for anything
never counts, and nobody has to be provisioned or removed from a seat list.

## What counts as a task

One delivered piece of work. Ray reading a thread, running a search, and
reporting back is one task, no matter how many tool calls it took underneath.

Failed work never counts and never bills. If Ray loops, stalls, or errors, that
turn is not counted against your allowance and does not appear on an invoice.
You pay for work that lands.

## Why the price can stay flat

Every workspace carries an internal spend ceiling underneath the task
allowance, so unusually heavy usage cannot make a single account unprofitable.
That ceiling is why a flat price is a promise rather than a bet. Allowances are
soft: hitting one starts a conversation, it does not cut Ray off mid sentence.

## Changing plans

Upgrade from inside chat. Ask Ray, and it hands you a link. Cancel the same way,
and Ray hands you the Stripe portal. Cancelling keeps you on Pro until the end
of the period you already paid for.

## Billing questions

- **Do unused tasks roll over?** No. The monthly allowance resets on the first
of the calendar month in UTC. The one time starter grant is the exception, and
  it never expires.
- **Do you charge per seat?** No. Team size picks the band, and the band is a
  flat monthly price.
- **What happens at the allowance?** Ray tells you in chat and offers the
upgrade. Nothing is deleted and nothing is lost.
- **Is there an annual plan?** Not yet.
